Cratelogs
After taking a class first semester sophomore year that focused on the beginnings of backend web processing using PHP and MySQL, I decided to work myself through an idea I had in order to build on those skills. During one of my jobs I had the experience to work in the stockroom of a large retail store and see first hand how different operations and tasks were streamlined through the company. One problem we had always faced though was storing and managing paid hold orders awaiting customer pickup. These orders could anything from phone sales to online orders with a pick up in store option. There was a definite need for a system to keep track and facilitate flow of the orders from processing to pickup. This is exactly what Cratelogs accomplishes. Cratelogs was built primarily with PHP supported by a MySQL database. It also relies on jQuery and Javascript to enhance user experience and make the site feel more alive.
